Parties in Marlon Pugh’s attempted murder trial appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn S. Mays to confirm a previously set date for Pugh’s violation of probation hearing on July 15.
Pugh, 34, pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder and use of a handgun in committing a crime on Feb. 8, 2011. He was initially charged in connection to the Nov. 24, 2009 shooting of a man on the 3100 block of Brighton Street, then sentenced to 30 years with 17 suspended for the murder charge, as well as five years for the handgun charge. Following an alleged violation of probation, Judge Mays issued a warrant for Pugh’s arrest on Nov. 19, 2024.
Counsel briefly conferred with Judge Mays during the hearing to confirm the Dec. 22 hearing date. Judge Mays will preside over the reset hearing.
The violation of probation hearing will be Pugh’s second. Pugh was previously cleared of violating his probation on Oct. 10, 2024.
