On Nov. 4, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Carswell Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.
Officers responded to the location and observed a 41-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is currently in surgery.
Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
