Two non-fatal shooting co-defendants accepted a plea May 2, which would require them to register as gun offenders.
Kea Bell, 26, and Shawnell Arrington, 46, are charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, two counts of use of a firearm during a violent crime, having a handgun on person and illegal possession of ammo in connection to an incident that occurred on Nov. 16, 2021.
Arrington is also charged with possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, possession of firearms, and discharging firearms.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented Bell with a plea of three years to suspending all but time served, with two years on probation for having a handgun on her person. Under the agreement, the defendant must register as a gun offender.
The prosecutor presented Arrington with a plea of five years, suspending all but two years, with two years on probation for reckless endangerment and two years for having a handgun on her person. The charges are set to run concurrently. Under the plea, Arrington must also register as a gun offender.
