Cases for a non-fatal shooting defendant and an alleged murderer were not called on Aug. 19 at Baltimore City Circuit Court, despite being scheduled on the docket for reception court.
Baltimore resident Latell Wilson, 47, was scheduled to have his case heard before Judge Melissa M. Phinn on Thursday; however, neither a prosecutor nor a defense attorney discussed the case during the six-hour reception court proceeding.
Wilson, 47, is charged with first and second-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a firearm, firearm possession with drugs, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, illegal possession of ammo, discharging firearms as well as two counts of having a handgun for 100 yards.
He is represented by defense attorney James Rhodes. No hearings are currently scheduled for Wilson’s case, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
Another Baltimore resident, Ricky Robinson, was also scheduled for reception court but went unheard. The 31 year old is charged with first-degree murder and firearm use in a violent crime.
He is represented by Gil Amaral. Robinson’s case is scheduled to appear in reception court on Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. in courtroom 540 in the Cummings Courthouse.
According to CBS Baltimore, Robinson allegedly shot and killed 25-year-old Terrell Billie in the 5200 block of Park Heights Avenue on Feb. 2. Billie was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance but died shortly after he arrived.
The shooting occurred just before 4:50 p.m., WMAR Baltimore reported, when officers responded and found Billie with multiple gunshot wounds.
