A trial date was set for a man charged with attempted murder after he rejected a plea deal from the prosecution during reception court on Oct. 12 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Antonio Richburg, 38, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of firearm use in the commission of a crime, reckless endangerment, discharging a handgun in the city, and unauthorized removal of property.
The prosecution offered a plea of 40 years, suspending all but 20 years, the first five years without the possibility of parole, for attempted first-degree murder and one count of firearm use in the commission of a crime.
The offer was rejected by Richburg and his defense attorney, Kenneth Mann.
A trial was scheduled for Feb.15, 2022.
