The trial of a Baltimore man accused of fatally shooting 36-year-old Michael Alston in June 2020 was postponed on Dec. 8. A reason for the postponement is currently unknown.
Jonathan Blagmon, 39, is charged with first-degree murder, felony use of a firearm in a violent crime, and having a handgun on his person.
According to CBS Baltimore, Blagmon shot and killed Alston on the 2000 block of Ramsay Street on June 13, 2020, and was arrested on the 100 block of N. Monastery Avenue two days later.
Jury selection was slated to start on Wednesday but was postponed.
Blagmon is represented by defense attorney Robert Cole. According to the Maryland Judiciary website, the defendant is next scheduled to appear in court on April 19, 2022.
