The jury trial of Christopher Boykin, 26, continued before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Geller on June 25.
Boykin is on trial for 20 charges, including conspiracy to commit attempted murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder, and several other robbery and firearm violations.
Boykin, who is represented by defense attorney Augustine Okeke, faces charges for an incident that occurred on the 500 block of N. Curley Street. Witnesses and area cameras observed two individuals entering a home in the block, before witnesses reported hearing gunshots. Later, the victim checked into a hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
The prosecution identified the two individuals as Boykin and his co-defendant, 25-year-old Dewan Houshins.
The prosecution called several witnesses to the stand, including a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) special agent who reviewed security camera footage of a vehicle pulling up to the incident location shortly before the shooting, as well as footage of the two individuals believed to be Boykin and Houshins exiting the vehicle.
Other witnesses included a Baltimore Police Department (BPD) detective who reviewed the blood and ballistic evidence found at the scene.
The trial is slated to continue on June 26.
