Damonyae Malone, 15, is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in a violent crime in connection to an incident on March 4, 2021.
According to the Baltimore Sun, on March 4, officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 5100 block of Chalgrove Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. When officers arrived at the scene they found 15-year-old Jaileel Jones on a couch in the living room.
Jones was taken to an area hospital, where he died two days later. Police said the victim was shot in the head and was also identified by one witness. The motivation behind the shooting is unclear.
Malone’s hearing is scheduled for March 22, 2022.
