Teen Victim Announced in Fatal Hamilton Hills Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a 17-year-old male victim in the March 21 shooting in the Hamilton Hills neighborhood.

On March 21, at approximately 10:49 p.m., Northeast District officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Perring Manor Road to investigate a call of a reported shooting.

Once there, officers located Emerson Serrano-Zaldiba, 17, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers rendered aid to Serrano-Zaldiba, and medics transported him to an area hospital for treatment. Despite medical treatment, he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and are investigating this incident as a possible self-inflicted accidental gunshot wound.
