Teen Shot on Preston Street in Stable Condition, Police Say

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Western District.

On July 15, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of W. Preston Street for a reported discharging of a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male victim sitting in the backseat of a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Western District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
