Teen Shot in the Leg While Playing with Gun in Northeast District

On Feb. 12, at approximately 5:49 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were called to a home in the 3800 block of Belair Road, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 14-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was in the home, with two unidentified juveniles, playing with the gun when the victim was accidentally shot. The two unidentified juveniles fled the location.
