Antonio Harmon, 16, pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder and firearm use before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer on May 20. Harmon faces 50 years, suspending all but 18, for the attempted murder charge, as well as a concurrent ten years, the first five without parole, and mandatory registration as a gun offender.
Harmon, who was tried as an adult, was initially charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder and assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use, and various other conspiracy and felony offenses.
On Aug. 1st, 2024, officers responded to the 4900 block of Aberdeen Avenue and located an unidentified victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso, right arm, and back of head. After canvassing the area, speaking with witnesses, and reviewing video surveillance footage from multiple cameras in the vicinity, detectives identified Antonio Harmon Jr. as the primary suspect in the shooting.
Harmon will remain incarcerated at a juvenile facility until he turns 18, at which point Judge Schiffer will recommend his transfer to the Patuxent Youth Program, a juvenile diversion program that aims for rehabilitation.
