The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in South Baltimore.
On Dec. 16, at approximately 1:17 a.m., officers responded to an area hospital following a report that a shooting victim walked in seeking treatment.
Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old boy suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Southern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
Detectives learned the victim had been on the 2700 block of Wegworth Lane when he was shot by an unknown suspect.
