During reception court on Jan. 31, 19-year-old Bishop Chance stood before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland to schedule a hearing in his homicide case.
Chance is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count each of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in crime, conspiracy to use a firearm in a crime, and possession of a firearm as a minor.
During a previous hearing on Dec. 6, 2024, Chance rejected a plea offer of life suspending all but 25 years.
Co-defendant Gregory Whitfield, 20, is charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and first-degree assault and three counts of firearm use in a felony violent crime, as well as one count each of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy to murder, possession of a firearm as a minor, and having a handgun on his person.
Judge Copeland scheduled a motion hearing for March 4. Chance was represented by defense attorney Staci Pipkin.
