Teen Girl Shot in Hand After Rebuffing Suspect, Police Say

On May 4, at approximately 9:18 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 2100 block of West North Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Preliminary investigation indicates a suspect began speaking to a 17-year-old female victim inside a business at that location. Allegedly, after the victim and her friends indicated they wanted to be left alone, the suspect then followed the victim and discharged his handgun.

The female victim suffered an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
