Xingcheng William He is a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying social policy and data analytics. His hometown is Shanghai, China, where he got his undergraduate degree in software engineering.
William wants to use his data and quantitative skills at Baltimore Witness, helping observe and document criminal cases objectively. Also, by enriching his legal background in this internship, William aspires to work in a global legal system like Interpol.
Having cultivated a strong interest in crime data and criminology during his master’s studies, William has always yearned for a more in-depth experience in the criminal justice area. He is both thrilled and prepared to contribute to the Baltimore Witness team. Moreover, helping observe and document criminal cases as objectively as possible directly complements to his future career field. William plans to work as an officer or analyst in INTERPOL to fight against criminals. If possible, he also wants to apply for a juris doctorate degree.
