Born and raised in Silver Spring, Md., Ryka Dandeker is a sophomore at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Dance. Besides academics, Ryka loves working out, reading, and dancing. Ryka was most interested in joining the Baltimore Witness internship because of the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the criminal justice system. She is excited to learn outside the classroom, explore the intersection of psychology and criminal justice, and gain clarity about the direction she wants to take her college studies and future career.
