Naja Revell is a junior at Morgan State University, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Pre-Law. She is also an Honors Scholar in the Clara I. Adams Honors College. Naja aspires to become a Criminal Defense Attorney, a passion that developed from living in a high-violence city and a strong interest in law and justice. While her personal hobbies include reading and watching some TV shows, her career interests led her to begin the Morgan State Mock Trial Team during her freshman year. Since the organization’s approval, she has served as its Founder and President. Naja previously interned with Maryland Legal Aid, where she held multiple roles at once, gaining civil law experience that fueled her passion for the Criminal Defense field. She was drawn to the Baltimore Witness Internship for the opportunity to attend criminal court proceedings, report on cases impacting the Baltimore community, and gain firsthand experience within the criminal justice system.
