Laura Van Pate is an intern at the Baltimore Witness. As a student at the Philip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland, she has gotten amazing opportunities, such as working for University of Maryland’s radio station WMUC, and one of University of Maryland’s on-campus newspapers Stories Beneath the Shell. She also has writing experience at the Alexandria Times newspaper and studio production experience working at the Big Ten+ network in College Park.
