Jayda Ohler is a rising senior at Christopher Newport University (CNU) in Newport News, Virginia. She is double-majoring in criminology and American studies with a minor in political science. On campus, Jayda is actively involved in Greek life, the pre-law program, and is a student research assistant for the political science department. Jayda joined Baltimore Witness because she seeks to uncover nuances in the criminal justice system and identify institutional and systemic threats to justice. Through this internship, Jayda hopes to apply her academic knowledge to real-world contexts that benefit the Baltimore community.
