Jasmine Burrell currently attends Baltimore City Community College, majoring in Allied Human Services. Her long-term goal is to become an LCSW-C and work with adolescents involved in the Department of Juvenile Services. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys hiking and trail exploring, DIY projects, and learning. After moving from Annapolis to Baltimore, she became more aware of the city’s crime and began following local cases more closely. This sparked her interest in understanding the justice process and how information is shared with the public. Baltimore Witness has been a resource she uses and recommends, and joining the internship aligns with both her personal values and career goals by allowing her to learn about systems that impact youth while contributing to informed and empowered communities.
