Suspect Arrested, Victim Named in Oakley Avenue Homicide

In connection to the Northern District homicide on Jan. 24, investigators have arrested 24-year-old Zion Clayton from Baltimore.

Detectives discovered that Clayton fatally shot 36-year-old Anthony D. McMichael, Jr. in the 3000 block of Oakley Avenue.

On Feb. 21, 2025, warrant apprehension detectives found Clayton in the vicinity of Braeside Road and Old Frederick Road, where he was taken into custody without incident. Investigators then transported Zion Clayton to the Central Booking & Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and handgun violations.
