Suspect and Sniping Officer Identified in Fatal Police-Involved Shooting

The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General has identified the decedent and Baltimore Police Department officer involved in the fatal police-involved shooting that occurred on March 10 in Northwest Baltimore.

Baltimore man Jonathan Ingram, 33, was fatally shot the morning of March 10 after a hostage standoff on the 6200 block of Park Heights Avenue.

BPD Officer Brian Loiero, a 15-year veteran assigned to SWAT team, fatally shot Ingram.

The IID is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
