On July 9, 2022, at approximately 12:34 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 2500 block of West Fairmount Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert and a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 34-year-old male suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers also located a 40-year-old male suffering from numerous non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

The 40-year-old male victim was listed in stable condition. However, the 34-year-old male suffered life-altering injuries and later succumbed to those injuries on Feb. 9, 2024.

Upon completion of the 34-year-old male’s autopsy, The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide due to complications of a gunshot wound.
