Southwest District Officers Arrest Suspect in Hollins Street Shooting Homicide Investigation

In reference to a homicide that occurred in the Southwest District, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 39-year-old Steven Gibson of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Gibson shot and killed Nathaniel Mack, the morning of May 6, while on the 2100 block of Hollins Street.

Detectives arrested Gibson on June 21, on the 400 block of Walcott Road, without incident. Gibson was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with first-degree murder.

On the morning of the shooting, at approximately 9:52 a.m., Southwest District officers were patrolling the area of Hollins and Smallwood Streets when they heard discharging.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Hollins Street and observed Mack suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mack was pronounced deceased by medics on scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
