Southeast District Man Dies of Multiple Gunshot Wounds

On March 12, at approximately 4:46 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the intersection of East Baltimore Street and South Chester Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed evidence of a shooting on the unit block of North Chester Street. While on the scene, officers were notified that the victim of the shooting was transported to an area hospital.

Upon arriving at the area hospital, officers observed 33-year-old Justice Smallwood suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Yet despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
