Sinclair Lane Shooting Ruled Self-Inflicted

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding a previously reported shooting incident that occurred July 17, on the 2000 block of Sinclair Lane. The shooting has been reclassified as a self-inflicted shooting and has been removed from the yearly non-fatal shooting count.

On July 17, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 34-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the foot. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Police initially reported the victim was shot by an unidentified male.
