ShotSpotter Alerts Police to East Baltimore Midway Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a shooting in the Eastern District.

On June 15, at approximately 12:10 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Sherwood following a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and discovered evidence of a crime scene. Shortly thereafter, officers were called to the 2300 block of Harford Road for a shooting victim.

Officers found a 42-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
