ShotSpotter Alerts Police to 18-Year-Old Victim in East Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a homicide in the Eastern District.

On May 19, at approximately 5:40 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of E. Preston Street to investigate several ShotSpotter alerts.

Upon arrival at the location, officers located an 18-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
