The trial for 45-year-old Travis Maynor was postponed on Aug. 18 following a defense request for medical reasons.
Maynor is facing 22 charges, including two counts each of attempted first- and second-degree murder, three counts each of first-degree assault, and multiple robbery and related firearm counts. Maynor is accused of shooting a 28-year-old man on the 4100 block of Patterson Avenue on Aug. 8, 2024.
Maynor’s trial was slated to start on Aug. 18 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Althea M. Handy; however, defense attorney Andre Mahasa is suffering from pneumonia and COVID, necessitating the postponement.
Judge Melissa K. Copeland approved the defense’s request and sent well-wishes towards Mahasa.
Maynor is scheduled to return to Judge Copeland’s courtroom on Aug. 22 to schedule his trial.
