Shooting Suspect with A Prior Conviction Pleads Guilty to Gun Possession

Defendant David Colyns, 59, pleaded guilty to firearm possession with a felony conviction before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Martin Schreiber II on Feb. 11.

Colyns is charged with two counts each of firearm possession with a felony conviction, possessing a firearm in connection to controlled dangerous substances, and illegal possession of ammunition, as well as one count of discharging a firearm.  

He faces a sentence of three years, suspending all but four months and 27 days, as well as two years supervised probation for the count of firearm possession with a felony conviction.
