Shooting Case Postponed to November Pending Joinder Effort

Due to the consolidation of his case with his co-defendant’s, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland pushed criminal proceedings for Gregory Granger Jr. back to late November during an Oct. 22 hearing.

Granger, 41, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one each of attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and numerous firearms offenses following a violent incident on Dec. 16, 2024 that left 44-year-old Ricky Forehand dead and another 45-year-old male injured on the 2300 block of W. North Avenue.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage that revealed an assault took place earlier that day and culminated in the shooting.

Granger is set to return to court Nov. 20 before Judge Copeland.
