During a retrial, Khaleb Edmonds, 26, was found guilty of multiple counts of murder and firearm charges for a 2023 double homicide.
Charging documents state that police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 2200 block of W. North Avenue on Aug. 24, 2023. They found the first victim, 26-year-old Myron White, dead from a gunshot wound to his head in the driver’s seat of his Jeep Cherokee. The second victim, 26-year-old Darius Hill was found on the ground down the street at 1800 block of N. Smallwood Street with a gunshot wound on his torso.
According to charging documents, 13 9mm cartridge casings along with other evidence were recovered from the scene, and surveillance footage captured Edmonds’ movements leading up to the shooting. He was positively identified as the person from the footage by a witness, who was able to pick out Edmond in a lineup of still shots.
After a June 2025 mistrial due to a hung jury, Edmonds was found guilty in the retrial verdict on Sept. 24 of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of firearm use in a felony or violent crime, and one count of having a handgun on his person.
Edmonds will be sentenced on Jan. 20 in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Alan Lazerow.
