Non-Fatal Shooting

Saint Benedict Street Incident Was Blunt Force Trauma Attack, Police Say

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding a previous non-fatal shooting investigation. The case has been reclassified as an injured person incident.

Investigators determined that the victim’s injury resulted from blunt force trauma, not a gunshot wound. Consequently, this case has been removed from the 2025 shooting count.

On Sept. 20, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. Officers located a 22-year-old male suffering from what they believed was a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was injured by an unidentified suspect while in the 3300 block of Saint Benedict Street.
