Roommate Shooting Trial Delayed For Second Day

On Aug. 22, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer was scheduled to preside over the trial of  Craig Williams, 56, who is accused of the non-shooting of his roommate. However, the proceeding didn’t happen.

Williams is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony crime of violence, reckless endangerment, shotgun/rifle possession with prior felony conviction, possession of firearms, and illegal possession of ammunition in connection to a Nov. 25, 2024 incident on the 1100 block of Scott Street.

According to charging documents, Williams and his roommate got into a verbal argument after Williams accused him of entering his room. Williams then reportedly shot the victim with a rifle at the bottom of the steps.

The trial was delayed for the second day because the prosecutor was unavailable.

The trial  is set to begin on Aug. 25.
