Road Rage Incident Ends in Arrest, Attempted Murder Charges

On Feb. 28, at approximately 4:33 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 1200 block of Hilton Parkway to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 46-year-old male suffering from numerous non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

During this investigation, officers apprehended a suspect regarding this shooting, later identified as 21-year-old Troy Barnes of Baltimore, on the 3000 block of Arunah Avenue.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in a road rage incident that led to the victim being shot by the suspect numerous times.

Detectives transported Barnes to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
