The start of a trial for a man accused of attempted-murder was postponed on Feb. 14 due to the assigned prosecutor being in court for another case.
Defendant Jose Lewis, who is represented by Warren Brown, was rescheduled for trial before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn on Tuesday.
Lewis, 26, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first and second degree assault, conspiracy to commit first and second-degree assault in addition to multiple weapons charges in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 6, 2022.
Lewis’ trial is set to begin on Aug. 7 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lawrence Fletcher-Hill. The trial is expected to last three days.
