A 15-year-old teen is expected to be tried as an adult this fall for the attempted murder of two teenagers last October.

Tracen Anthony and his attorney, Hunter Pruette, made a brief appearance in Baltimore City Circuit Court on Aug. 19 to select a trial date. Judge Melissa K. Copeland and counsel agreed on a three-day trial, beginning Nov. 6, before Judge Timothy J. Doory.

A motion to transfer Anthony’s case to juvenile court was previously denied.

Around 2 a.m., Baltimore Police were called to the 600 block of S. Broadway Street on Oct. 5, 2024. According to charging documents, officers found a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man, both of whom had gunshot wounds to their right legs and were treated for their injuries at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Video footage allegedly shows a person said to be Anthony pull up his hood, pull out a gun and fire into a crowd, court documents state. Anthony was later recognized by a detective who said he conducted a traffic stop on the day of the shooting and saw the defendant in the car.
