On July 25, a prosecutor changed the status of a Baltimore man’s attempted murder case to nolle pros before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Marquis Evans, 21, was charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, two counts of deadly weapon with intent to injure, and false imprisonment in connection to an incident on Nov. 25, 2021.
The prosecutor told Judge Phinn that she couldn’t contact the witness, and therefore decided nolle pros the case.
Evans’ was represented by defense attorney Donald Wright, who spoke of Evans right to a speedy trial.
