Ronald Hogg III, 20, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland on July 28 for a reception court hearing in the case against him.

Hogg III is charged with  attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery, conspiracy to carjack, and multiple firearm-related offenses for allegedly shooting a victim on March 11.

According to charging documents, at approximately 11:40 a.m. the day of the incident, Central District officers responded to the 1000 block of Aisquith Street to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found the individual suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound to the right leg.

The victim advised that he was shot on the 1000 block of North Central Avenue. Upon arrival at the crime scene, detectives discovered 2003 silver Honda Accord with a one 9mm shell casing and a broken cell phone case near the vehicle.

Area surveillance footage captured two suspects walking from Eager Super Market to the victim’s vehicle. One suspect walked to the passenger side and enters while the second suspect approached the driver’s side door. Their conversation then escalated into an argument

Then the victim pulled out of the vehicle by a suspect and can be seen limping as he runs away. Both suspects are seen running North on North Central Avenue. Surrounding ring camera footage captured the suspects running northbound. Days following the incident, a witness positively identified one of the suspects said to be Ronald Hogg III and suspect two as Anthony Brown.

Hogg III is scheduled to reappear before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Yolanda A. Tanner on Sep. 5 for a motions hearing to discuss evidence in the case.
