May Stabbing Ruled Justified, Removed From Homicide Count

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced that the below-listed homicide case has been reclassified as a justified homicide. This case has been removed from the 2025 homicide count.

On May 5, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in stabbing victim.

Once there, officers located a 34-year-old male suffering from apparent life-threatening stab wounds. Despite medical professionals’ efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary reports stated the victim was stabbed by an unidentified suspect while in the 1800 block of Portal Street.
