Police Question Person of Interest in Southern District Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Southern District.

On Jul 27, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers on foot patrol in the 1100 block of South Charles Street heard gunfire from the 1000 block of South Charles Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old female victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

A person of interest has been taken into custody.

Southern District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation.
