Police Name 2 Victims in January Homicides

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced updates in two homicides that occurred last month in Baltimore City.

Jemel Dixon, a 36-year-old Black man, was killed in a fatal shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of Jan. 18. Officers located Dixon on the 1000 block of W. North Avenue and transported him to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Michael Ramseur, a 40-year-old Black man, was killed Jan. 30 during a shooting that occurred on the 500 block of Sheridan Avenue. Officers responding to the scene in North Baltimore also located a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The surviving victim was hospitalized for treatment.
