On Jan. 26, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 1200 block of East Preston Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 20-year-old Kareem Gee suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
