Police Investigate Suspicious Death Following Well-Being Check in Woodmere

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced that a death investigation in Northwest Baltimore is now being treated as a suspicious death case rather than a homicide.

On Nov. 13, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Northwest District officers responded to the rear alley of the 5300 block of Gist Avenue following a call fora well-being call for service.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 57-year-old male victim with apparent trauma to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

The investigation remains active and open, with more information to be released once confirmed.
