Police Investigate Shooting that Leaves Victim in Critical But Stable Condition

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a shooting in the Northeast District.

On Jul 29, 2025, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to the 6600 block of Pickering Drive for a reported discharge of a firearm.

Shortly thereafter, officers received a call regarding a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers spoke with a 56-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. The victim is listed in critical but stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 6600 block of Pickering Drive when he was shot by an unidentified suspect.

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
