On July 18, 2026, at approximately 9:42 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 200 block of North Payson Street for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located an 31-year-old Keith Wonson and a 27-year-old female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The Wonson was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
