The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a murder that occurred on April 19 on Ramsey Street.
According to a news release, at approximately 8:19 p.m., officers were called to the 1800 block of Ramsey Street for a shot spotter alert. When they arrived, they found a man, on the 300 block of S. Monroe Street, who had been shot in the chest.
The victim was transported to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead.
Upon further investigation, detectives learned that the victim had been shot in the 1800 block of Ramsey Street but ran to S. Monroe Street where he collapsed.
Southern District Homicide Detectives have assumed control over the investigation.
