Police Investigate Afternoon Shooting at Broadway East Senior Center

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a shooting incident in the Eastern District.

On Aug. 15, at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a senior center in the 1700 block of N. Gay Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 41-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Eastern District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
