Police Begin Investigation After Victim is Shot in Head

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a shooting in the Western District.

On March 9, at approximately 9:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old male with a graze wound to the head.

Preliminary information revealed that the shooting may have occurred in the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenue following a ShotSpotter Alert in the area.

Western District shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
